My son sent me a text telling me I should do Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. In the same text thread, we discussed Drops of Jupiter by Train. So with any luck, I'll find them a good fit and give them a go. So many songs are done now, but I just haven't had time to edit. I need to get some new stuff up! Stay tuned.

So, I've definitely recorded a lot in the last few months, but now I have a ton of editing to do. I'll be doing it little by little and uploading what I can, when I can. For now, I'm done with Wait for Sleep by Dream Theater and will mix that down soon. Too much to do!
Ok, so I've bitten off a lot and can't chew it fast. On deck is Desperado, still Music of the Night, Carry On Wayward Son, Come Sail Away (maybe), and a few other that were mentioned in earlier posts (like a couple of U2 songs) that I haven't touched much lately but may start over on. Oh, and I started doing Take On Me as a joke, but it's turning out to be decent enough, so there's that one as well.
I finally had a chance to edit a few of the songs I've had in the works. They may need some tweaking, but I'll have to get to that later; time is tough to get. Wanted Dead or Alive, Love Lies Bleeding, and Superman are done for now.
So, I think I've taken on too much and haven't been able to edit recently. I have a bunch of vocals done on about 6 songs, but not a lot of time to edit. I do plan on getting to them, but it will take a bit of time.
In the meantime, I started more songs (like I really need more to edit). So, besides the ones mentioned in previous posts, look out for Love Lies Bleeding (Elton John), Wanted Dead or Alive (Bon Jovi), and maybe a couple Billy Joel songs like She's Always a Woman or It's still Rock and Roll to Me. Just the Way You Are and New York State of Mind may be on that Billy Joel list as well at some point. While I still have a bunch of songs to edit, I did buy another backing track and have started recording that as well. "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2 is the newest. Hopefully, I'll get to editing some of these soon and get them up.
I'm going to go through the finished songs and remix some of them now. I've found if I add a bit of reverb to the final mix, it blends everything together much better. So, about half the videos and downloads will be replaced with, hopefully, better versions. I'm finding now that some of the vocals are a bit forward in the mix and I want to push them back a bit.
UPDATE: I just remixed ISHFWILF, INU, RNGD, MCA, and WADY. They are much closer to blended than the last versions. I think I want to rerecord a couple of the earlier songs, but those will have to wait until I finish the newer stuff. Finished and uploaded Renegade finally. Reworked ISHFWILF because I didn't like some of the artifacts that were in there. It's still not where I want it, but it's closer.
In honor of my first U2 concert this last weekend, I decided to do another one of their songs: Pride. So that's on the editing table right now. Renegade is finally finished and needs only to be mixed down. Superman is almost finished as is Crossfire. I did start recording Bungle in the Jungle by Tull, and that's pretty close to being done as well. Music of the Night is still in recording stages as it's more emotionally complicated than the others I'm doing.
I'm still toying with a few other songs, but need to focus on these before my hard drive fills up with take after take. Still Got the Blues is being redone because the sensitivity was too high on the mic (it was the first one I recorded, so I still hadn't settled on a decent set up) and I can still hear the problems I had recording it. More to come. So, the U2 song has been touched up, but not mixed yet. I started Superman by Five for Fighting as well. Renegade is almost done and ready to mix.
